Data-Assurance is compatible with the following operating system environments: Windows 9x, XP Home, XP Professional, NT 4.0, 2000 Server and Professional, 2003 Server, and Novell Netware.
Once installed, Data-Assurance requires little to no network configuration in order to establish a network connection to the secure storage server. Data-Assurance utilizes Port 308 for communication, thus some hardware or software firewalls may need to be configured to allow traffic.

Restoring Data with Data-Assurance
Users may use Data-Assurance to restore data to the
original computer or to any other computer at any time. By default,
Data-Assurance provides users access to 14 historical versions
of stored data, and longer archive windows may be configured
upon request. By opening Data-Assurance on the original computer,
or by installing Data-Assurance and entering the account User
Name and Password on a different computer, a user may easily
restore lost data by clicking on the Restore Tab in the application.
Data may be restored at any level: drive, folder, or file. Additionally,
the user may choose for Data-Assurance to rebuild the original
folder hierarchies (paths) or to restore the data without original
hierarchies to a temporary folder.
