Once installed, Data-Assurance requires little to no network configuration in order to establish a network connection to the secure storage server. Data-Assurance utilizes Port 308 for communication, thus some hardware or software firewalls may need to be configured to allow traffic.

for backup, schedule data backup sessions, and restore
data with only a few mouse-clicks. Users may backup
multiple computers and may maintain multiple backup sets and schedules.
The application provides a complete array of options that enable the
user to fully configure functionality to the user's specific backup
requirements.
Installing Data-Assurance
Data-Assurance can be easily downloaded and installed
directly from www.data-assurance.net. Assuming a low-level
broadband or better connection, registering for, downloading,
and installing Data-Assurance requires fewer than fifteen minutes to
perform. This process creates the user's private storage folder on Data-Assurance’s
secure storage server. This private storage folder is protected by encryption
and the user's User Name and Password.
